5 Moments of Beauty Capturing My Heart Right Now
- LOVAGE, LOVAGE, LOVAGE. It is my most favorite time of year when the lovage begins to rise from the Earth. She is growing steady now and I use her for so much yummy. Lovage kind of taste like celery leaves but even yummier. Find it, try it.. You will be a fan too!
- The tiny faerie flowers blooming on grassy areas all around. Check out Oxbow, Tabor Park and spaces where grasses grow. They are so sweet and are just around for a few precious moments.
- The sound of the rain coming through in my "between the worlds" morning wake up. I have been pausing, listening to these two at play together. It is a symphony.
- The SUN on my SKIN! It's like every cell in my being is gulping it up. It feels amazing and gives me a little "spring boost" just like all the little plants I see darting up from the earth towards the sky. Thank you NATURE
- Little gifts. We have become porch friends with a person who lives a couple blocks from us. It started with a sweet note and a little package of incense left on our front porch about 1 1/2 years ago. We then started seeing each other on walks and around and that turned into conversation which has evolved into more notes and little surprise treasures we place at each others door step here and there. The treasures include used books we love, sweet pieces of local art, a cozy blanket when it was cold, homemade jam from the 'hood we live in. And all of it has a little note of kindness (the best part). We love this, it makes my heart happy every time I see her and her pup walking around. Try it!
